Bracknell
Manics FC started out in 1996 by a group of friends as a 6-a-side
team who played in the Bracknell Sports & Leisure Centre 6-a-side
Football League. Over the years the squad developed and then in
2001 Bracknell Manics entered an 11-a-side team in the Bracknell
& District Sunday Football League.
For our first season [2001-2002], we did well, the squad changed,
more committed players were brought in to strengthen the side,
and we finished 5th in the league, gaining promotion to division
3. Bracknell Manics were also recognised by the board as being
a well run club too, as for their first season they were the only
new club to enter the league which did not incur a single fine
from the board all season.
Since then Bracknell Manics have gone from strength to strength...
2003 saw the Manics finish 3rd in the league and promotion as
well as the final of the Gowrings Cup. Manics went one better
in 2004 by winning Division 2 then in 2005 becoming champions
once more, winning Division One and making it to the Premiership
in the Bracknell & District Sunday Football League.
In 2006, Bracknell Manics squad grew in numbers. So much that
the club started their Reserves side. Some older players joined
the Reserves, along with the new, younger faces at the club. Whilst
the 1st team had tough season finishing 5th in the Premiership
and reaching a cup final, the Reserves won the Division 4 league
cup.
We love our football, and we take great pride in who we are, where
we are from, and thank
