From the start, Bracknell Manics FC went for the early goal pressing
hard on the Dukes defence...
Bracknell Manics took the early lead, Elliott Fairs was the one
to score the opener banging the ball into the net after pushing
up on a free kick.
But minutes later, AFC Dukes equalised, after a counter attack
and long ball of the top of the Manics fell to their quick forward
who ran on to the ball and scored.
Then Glenn Evans scored putting the Manics ahead before the break.
Two substitutes were made at the break, as David Comper came
off to be replaced by Gary Sarney and an inujured Tony Hemley
came off to be replaced by Neil Tagg.
In the second half, Manics tried to beat AFC Dukes at their own
game, and lost their form.. James Robinson was lobbed and then
beaten at the near post to concede two goals in the second half.
More problems followed when Mak Robertson could continue no more
and a substitution was made. Evans was pushed up front and Lee
Wilcox came into play. In a desperate attempt for a point, David
Fenton pushed upfield leaving it thin at the back, but still
the Dukes defence held strong.
Then right near the end, the Manics were robbed a penalty for
a handball in the area when the referee signalled to play on...
The final whiste blew, and it would be another unhappy week for
the Manics after another dissapointing game.
Thanks
to the fans who came to watch.
