Bracknell Manics were on form in this game, and it wasnt
long before the Manics began to create chances in front of goal.
For some reason Manics found it hard to score the opener despite
creating a mass of chances, and the fans knew that if the goal
didnt come before the end of the first half, it may have
been a rough task to get ahead in the second should the Manics
go a goal behind.
But the goal finally came on the 40th minute; Piercey, Manics
official first-aider didnt know how to react when Glenn
Evans converted the opener that would cost him £50 bet
with his team-mate and put the Manics ahead 1-0. But lets not
forget Barry O'Connell's sweet ball that made the goal, spotting
Evan's run up field to support the attack.
The second half saw more goals on the Manics behalf. The second
goal was scored by O'Connell, with Robertson doing the hard work
to hold the ball up and lay the ball off to O'Connell to put
away.
Manics made it 3-0 when O'Connell shot beating the keeper, and
Curran made sure it went in beating Reeve's defender for pace
and tucking it away on the 60th minute of play.
Mike Key's made his debut soon after, replacing Curran on the
left wing.
Soon after Robertson got his goal after an unsettled first half
in front of goal, O'Connell getting his hatrick of assists playing
through for Robertson to score and make it 4-0.
5 minutes later Robertson would come off, Graham McDonald pushed
on up front, Evans moved to the right wing and Phillips would
make another appearance this season as right back.
A penalty was awarded to Reeve's but Robinson continued his recent
good spell in goal with an excellent penalty save.
Thanks
to the fans on the magnificent support this weekend!
