Friendly vs Woodley Hammers Rdng (Res) - Result: Won 4-3
Bracknell Manics
travelled to Reading this weekend to play Woodley Hammers Reserves,
a team who had knocked the Manics out of the Berks & Bucks
cup 2 years ago.
Bracknell Manics were cut in half in the first 20 minutes, missing
chances at their end and conceding at the other. Bracknell Manics
were 2-0 down after 15 minutes before they scored their first...
Barry O'Connell doing the damage. Then a third was conceded by
the Manics, at which point changes were in order.
Brian Judge and Joel Curran left to be replaced with Chris Wilson
and newcomer, Mark Gates.
Minutes later, Manics scored their second to make it 3-2; debutant
Gareth Jones volleying home his first goal for the club.
In the second half, Manics fought hard to equalise through Gary
Sarney, then took the lead when Woodley Hammers went 2 men down,
with Barry O'Connell grabbing the winner.
