BMFC mixed the line-up this weekend for the first ever match
in the history of the club in the Shikara Cup. Some 1st teamers
were given the week off to rest, and 2nd team players earnt their
place in the limelight.
However it didn't go too well... After 30 minutes Manics were
behind 2-1 barely creating a half chance the other end. Manics
earnt a free kick, which Dog & Partridge scored an own goal
from, but that was as good as it got and the first half ended
3-1.
In the second, Manics got straight to work, but couldn't find
the final ball. Manics clawed their way back into the game; first
Elliott Fairs with a clearance of the line, and then Barry O'Connell
scoring to make it 3-2, Mark Robertson the provider.
Just before the end, Manics had a penalty disallowed, referee
Wilkins had the whistle in his mouth and pointed to the spot,
but then changed his mind.. the final whistle blew, and Manics
go out of the cup..
Thanks
to the fans who came to watch the game!
The Manics Man of the Match went to Elliott Fairs.
