Bracknell Manics missed some first teamers in this weekends league
match, and carrying injuries, Manics knew they'd be in for a
tough fight against Finchampstead Reserves.
Both teams started brightly, but after the Manics hit the post,
Finch fought back to score the opener early in the game after
a good passing move on Finch's part.
After a suspected broken thumb from Saturday's game, Mark Robertson
was subbed to give Steve Dennaford another chance to impress
out on field in the second half.
Manics equalised early on, David Comper beat Finch's right back
before laying a square ball in towards O'Connell to hit home.
But Finch went ahead within 5 minutes, and James Robinson's outburst
on Mark Gates was quickly extinguished when captain Elliott Fairs
jumped in the middle to tear them apart. After this Manics settled
in and played good football. Unfortunately though, luck wouldn't
be on Manics side this week, as one goal was disallowed, and
two more good chances on goal wouldn't convert.
At full-time, the game ended 2-1 to Finch, with Manics robbed
of vital points in their league campaign.
Thanks
