It was make or break this weekend for BMFC in their final competitive game of the season. The highest turnout of fans for the season came to watch the game; Manics needed a single point to guarantee the champion's position, and with a full squad, and Gareth Jones passing a late fitness test, the team knew losing wasnt an option.

After 15 minutes, Manics went ahead. David Comper's well taken corner was swung in to be headed into goal by
Gareth Jones.

20 minutes later, and Manics increased their lead further when
David Comper pressured Royals right-back dispossessing him of the ball and charging down on the Royals goal. In a 1-on-1, Comper hit the ball low, the keeper saved the first, but spilled it back into Comper's path for him to make sure of the second time round.

It was a fine display from the Manics in the 1st half, and Royals were in a desperate state as players were attended to with injuries at the break. Manics came off in a light-hearted casual mood, without even a half time talk enjoying the sunny mornings football; but before going out switched on again with a quick huddle and team talk before the whistle to gear eachother up once again.

Within a minute Manics made it 3-0. After pressure from the kick off, Jones won a corner for Joel Curran to step up and take.
Mark Robertson beat the Royals keeper in the air and headed the ball into the net.

Manics would have thought it was all over by this time had it not been a piece of bad luck on the 60th minute of play. The Royals blasted a shot, taking a deflection off of Mark Gates, which fell to another of Royals players in an offside position. The linesman waved the offside, but the Referee waved play on for the Royals player to slot home.

But Manics were full of determination, and
Aaron Goddard scored his first goal of the season in the final game of the season hammering the ball into the back of the net after some sloppy Royals defending couldnt clear the ball.

Manics made 3 substitutions Comper, Blay and Curran came off to be replaced with Sarney, Evans and Blackman.

It went from bad to worse for Royals soon after as
Gareth Jones, Mark Robertson and Barry O'Connell all contributed to upping the tally of goals to result in 7-1 for the Manics who take home the Division One title for their hard work this season.
