Left With An Empty Feeling After A Rocky Ride
This weeks game saw Mark Gates a beaten man, head in hands as Manics 1st
team let another 3 points slip through their grasp.
After a bright start to the game, Jason Graaf
took the Manics ahead scoring his first goal from a Gavin Baker corner
with his head. Manics though found themselves at 1-1 before the break,
and Manics had had chances to extend their lead on a number of occassions.
No matter though, Gavin Baker made a fine
individual effort drilling the ball past the Rides keeper to make it 2-1.
Chances were had by both sides, and it would turn out to be heated game
as a Rides player was sent from the pitch. Keepers from both sides kept
the game equal, but just before the end of the game, Rides played a well-timed
through ball caught the Manics back line off guard and the ball was shot
past Robinson in to the net to make it 2-2, leaving Manics only a single
point.
Manics have a lot to think about as they face Saracens in the league next
weekend...
