Joel Curran joined the Manics from FC Bracknell for the 2002-2003 season in Division 3. This was couped as a major signing as his experience and skill showed. However after a handful of games, Joel was seriously injured in the epic cup win game against Finchampstead A. He returned 5 months later in the semi-final against Sygenta and scored the winning goal.

Joel played a important part of The manics 2nd division 2004-2005 winning season. Playing at left midfield scoring 13 goals and assiting 13 more. Hence becoming 'Bracknell Manics Managers Player' of the year.

The following 2005 season, Joel reverted to left-back where the defence had a big influence on the manics winning the 1st division, their 2nd titile in a row. Joel departed for Squirrells during January transfer window in the 2006 season after a few games for both First and Res team.

Joel returned to the manics for 2007. Admiting he should never of left, and was glad to be back.
