Jones is an immensely
impressive midfielder, signed in the early part of pre-season
training in 2004. His addition to the squad gave the club further
options in midfield and up-front, and at the point Jones was signed,
the staff at BMFC were confident the fans and players would quickly
see the benefit of his strengths.
Gareth Jones continued to shine in the Manics squad, having a
great 2004-2005season with the club. Jones not only cemented his
posititon in the club as 1st choice right wing, but also played
games up front too, in the end tallying 13 goals and 6 assists
in his first season at the club.
Jones had an even more successful season in 2005-2006. Bringing
new blood, Ryan Warman into the side, Jones also fought for a
centre midfield position. Earning tam-mates respect, Jones was
awarded 'Bracknell Manics FC Runners-up Player's Player 2005-2006'
for his hard work on the pitch totalling 7 goals, 8 assists and
4 man of the match awards in his second season with Bracknell
Manics.
2006-2007 saw bad luck on this player, with various injury problems
plaguing this player, resulting in only 2 appearances all season
for the 1st team.
