A young keeper who
wanted to bring his dynamic goalie skills into the club, James
Robinson signed in 2002, to strengthen the squad.
Verbal, strong, quick and possessing great reactions, Jimbo was
a key finding to the ongoing success for the Manics.
Robinson had an excellent 2002-2003 season, in particular playing
well in the Gowrings Cup Final against Dog
& Duck Emmbrook FC. Robinson was then voted 'Manics Most
Improved Player 2002-2003', deserving it for his fine perfomance.
Robinson then went on to have an even better season in 2003-2004,
conceding only 23 goals in the 20 league games, and keeping a
spell of clean sheets in goal.
Then in 2004, Robinson again earnt more honours taking the club
to promotion to the Premier Division, maintaing yet more clean
sheets in goal, and showing yet more outstanding commitment to
make sunday morning matches in goal for the club.
In 2005, Robinson yet again had a great season and proved a favourite
with the fans being awarded 'Bracknell Manics FC Supporters Player
of the Season 2005-2006'.
